Last week while making a pit stop between The Shore Club and Mokai, we asked the good people of Miami what they thought about this year’s Superbowl teams.

Question: Which team is more environmentally conscious, the Giants or the Patriots, and why?

MikePratt

“The Patriots! There’s no way you can be environmentally conscious in New York.”

Shane

“Dunno but I love the Patriots.”

Obua

“I am Polish! I love Patriots!” ( big thumbs up)

Emily

“I’d have to say the Giants since Tom Brady uses way too much hair product to be good for the atmosphere.”

Luke

“The Giants because the Patriots can **** my ****!”

5 sobering (or not) minutes later: “Wait, wait can I change my answer? The Giants because the patriots represent an entity that strives to do good for its nation but fails, whereas a giant is large entity that uses up the nations natural resources to survive. So really, both are symbolically making the effort but fail.”

5 more minutes later: “You heard me, the Patriots can **** my ****!”

Question #2: What’s the most ecologically friendly holiday?

Kostas

“Christmas, because you are spending time with the family.”

Elizabeth & Ryan

“Labor Day — because there’s a lot of labor.”

“Earth Day”

Elisa

“St. Patrick’s Day. As long as you’re drinking out of a mug and not a disposable cup, you’re good.”

josh-e1.jpg

Josh

“One that no one cares about like George Washington’s birthday, ’cause no on does anything and no one cares.”

Kira

“Arbor Day.”

On the eve of the big eve, we hit the Lower East Side’s Max Fish to get real answers to real questions from real New Yorkers.

Question #1:

1. In your opinion, what is the ecological impact of Jamie Lynn Spears’ baby?

meredith1.jpg

Meredith

“I think her kid is going to drive an SUV.”

alex1.jpg

Alex

“Jamie Lynn Spears’ baby will have a negative impact on the environment because of all the magazines published about her dumb pregnancy announcement.”

emilie-and-meredith1.jpg

Meredith & Emilie

“Jamie Lynn Spears will increase global warming by 50% because white trash always yields more junk.”

What’s the scariest thing about the environmental crisis?

angela_gargoyle-1.jpg

Zack
“Trees. Or cutting them down. Trees are awesome, but imagine a world without trees…scary and airless. Not awesome.”

angela_sailor-1.jpg

Sam
“Global warming and polar icecaps melting. And penguins.”

angela_scooby-1.jpg

Todd
“Probably littering. I just came back from the parade and they streets are covered in ish. That’s not a good look.”

THIS WEEK’S QUESTION:

If someone were to ask Lindsay Lohan, “What have you done to save the environment?” What do you think she’d say?

All pictured individuals are doing their best Lohan impression

Jen C

“She’d say, ‘I’m really just trying to focus on myselfright now. And we’re really all part of the environment so, yeaaahhh, that’s what I’m trying to do.’”

sara-w.jpg

Sara W

“I think she’d probably be as dumbfounded as I am right now.”

claudia.jpg

Claudia

“I don’t know what would come out of that girl’s mouth.”

jake.jpg

Jake

“I think she’d say she supported the Columbian economy.”

john.jpg

John

“She’d probably say she recycled a soda can or something.”

eleni.jpg

Eleni

“She’d say, ‘as far as I’m concerned, by staying in rehab I drive less and don’t pollute as much.’”

scott.jpg

Scott

“She would make up some BS comment. But the short answer is: nothing.”

lillian.jpg

Lillian

“She’d probably say she smoked less cigarettes than normal, which saves a tree, right?”
